About the role
This position supports the SDS Division and its multiple programs in Roy, Utah. It offers relocation assistance and requires a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the efforts of other Feature architecture personnel to develop system engineering artifacts necessary to scope software development
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop rigorous and proper systems engineering and design artifacts
- Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical)
- Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis
- Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration)
- Lead teams that develop, modify, and maintain systems using engineering best practices & standards
- Support the evolution of multiple products beginning with an overarching Strategic IFC Plan, supporting Detailed IFC Plans and schedules that define the development effort
- Help guide the development effort of an IFC until it culminates in certification that the integrated set of products meets its functional and performance requirements and is ready to be released for its intended use as identified in the IFC system certificate package/certificate (e.g., ground test, flight test, developmental and/or operational test, and evaluation, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with 8 years of related experience; 6 years of related experience with a master’s degree
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Special Access Program (SAP) clearance with access to CJ1
- Experience in aerospace/defense systems
- Experience in developing and executing Systems Engineering process governance documentation in a DoD Engineering and Manufacturing Development phase
- Experience in creating, updating, and maintaining requirements specifications in DOORS
- Experience on large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production
- Experience in creating, updating, and maintaining Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products
Qualifications
- Experience with Agile
- 2 years experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) systems
- Familiar with Teamcenter/CPLM
- Experience with SE events (e.g., PDR, CDR)
- Experience resolving issues and providing technical support
- Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems
- Presentation skills to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to individual contributors
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Prior experience operating in a dynamic environment of increasing pace
- Proven team leadership experience in program integration, operations, program execution, proposals, or capture efforts -- to meet quality, performance, cost, and schedule requirements
