Systems Engineering Intern

Parsons is seeking highly motivated interns specializing in Electrical Engineering to join our team. This internship role offers the opportunity to work alongside our experienced engineering development team and gain hands-on experience in developing cutting-edge technologies that support military and security applications. You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to testing and deployment.
The program consists of multiple subjects and will be conducted for a period of twelve weeks during the summer. Interns will contribute to real-world engineering challenges, collaborate with experienced professionals and clients, and engage in problem-solving and innovation.
This internship is part of our Federal Solutions team, which delivers resources to U.S. government customers to ensure the success of missions around the globe. Our intelligent employees drive the state of the art in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental services.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside experienced engineering professionals on real-world projects.
- Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, testing, and deployment.
- Develop cutting-edge technologies supporting military and security applications.
- Engage in hands-on collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation.
- Participate in employee-led discussions, mentorship experiences, and career-building events.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college/university program pursuing a degree in engineering.
- Maintain a strong academic record and have completed relevant coursework.
- Academic or work experience with one or more of the following:
- High-level coding languages, such as Python, Matlab, or C/C++
- FPGA designs using hardware description language (VHDL/Verilog)
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Qualifications
- Academic or work experience in programming, analytical, and/or math skills.
- Experience applying software development concepts, object-oriented design, design patterns, and related activities.

Pay
Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14 per hour.
