Systems Engineer (TS/SCI)
About the role
Vantor is seeking several System Engineers to join our established team in Herndon, VA, Melbourne, FL or Colorado Springs, CO.
Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering and enterprise architecture support to USG customers.
- Work with customers to improve their architecture and engineering workflows and processes with the identification or design of processes and tools.
- Responsible for articulating and capturing the architecture, system requirements, system design, and testing approach.
- Investigate and capture "As Is" architecture or workflows; identify "To Be" states; and make recommendation on transition from "As Is" to "To Be."
- Develop standard and repeatable processes, as appropriate, to recommend on architecture, engineering, development and integration projects.
- Familiarity with the System V and how that is used to develop products in order to apply to customer practices.
- Produce and support leadership team in the identification and creation of Enterprise Architecture Repository artifacts as required.
- Support engineering review boards.
Requirements
- US citizenship with a current/active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of experience may be substituted.
- 5 years of experience.
- Experience performing all/most aspects of the system engineering (requirements analysis, interface control documentation, ConOps development, Use Case development, data flows and developing Test Plans.)
- Familiarity with a Requirements Tool.
- SCRUM/AGILE Development (Jira).
- Familiar with deployment and maintenance of Development, Test and Operational environments.
Qualifications
- 8 years experience.
- Certification in Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Experience with software and system development projects using model bases system engineering.
- Familiar with Enterprise Architecture concepts, System Engineering Principles as depicted in the System V, and MBSE realizing in a model.
- Worked on a team using Agile or SAFe development processes.
- Practices best practices when writing requirements.
Skills
- Familiarity with System V.
- SCRUM/AGILE Development (Jira).
- Deployment and maintenance of Development, Test and Operational environments.
Pay
The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $102,000.00 - $136,000.00 - $149,600.00 annually.
The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
