Systems Engineer / Technical Writer with Security Clearance

About the role

The role involves writing technical documentation that is both accurate and accessible to a wide audience. This includes creating user manuals, technical guides, and other informational materials. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise language.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for various products and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, product managers, and sales personnel to ensure accuracy and relevance of documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new technologies into existing documentation.
• Provide technical support through written responses to customer inquiries.

Requirements

• At least a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing or a related field.
• Security clearance is required for this position.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Experience with technical writing tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development processes.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with project management tools like Jira or Asana.

Pay

$71,595 - $73,024 per year

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
