About the Role

The Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) Team at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking self-starting, motivated engineers to join our team. We support the Warfighter by integrating affordable solutions to ensure readiness, focusing on mitigating obsolescence threats. As a DMS Engineer, you will play a critical role in the production and sustainment of the C-130J fleet, working across various disciplines to ensure successful program execution.

Responsibilities

• Perform DMS Management duties, including analyzing Bill of Material (BOM) and inventory management data to identify potential impacts to the C-130J Program.
• Develop DMS business cases to identify cost-affordable mitigations for DMS events.
• Support proposal development efforts, including reviewing, interpreting, and writing proposals, SSOWs, and BOEs.
• Work on DMS redesign efforts to support Production, Sustainment, Kitting, and Spares needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with C-130J Engineering leadership, system/subsystem engineering teams, Supply Chain, Business Management, Program Management, Sustainment Operations, Hardware and Software Suppliers, C-130J Customers, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the maintenance and development of tools for tracking, coordinating, and executing DMS mitigation cases.
• Adapt critical toolsets to meet ongoing program demands and incorporate them as Aeronautics standards.
• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions, considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science degree
• Project Management experience

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of overall C-130 air system, design, and processes, including production and sustainment operations.
• Engineering experience in the Aerospace/Defense Industry.
• Experience with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources & Material Shortages (DMSMS) processes, including engineering integration of obsolescence management mitigations and/or redesign projects.
• Project Management experience relevant to aircraft Production, Sustainment, or Development programs.
• Experience in Electrical Engineering or Components Engineering with emphasis on Mission Systems Integration.
• Experience working with Suppliers and/or Supply Chain engagement, including usage of SAP for parts management analysis and financial tracking.
• Experience in Systems Engineering discipline with understanding of the total lifecycle (architecture, requirements, design, analysis, integration, verification, production, and sustainment).
• Understanding and appreciation for practicing and developing Standard Work processes and tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including briefing upper management.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $104,900.00 - $194,700.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. For Washington state applicants only: Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month and up to 52 hours of sick leave annually. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
