Systems Engineer, Principal - TS/SCI w/Poly

About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal / Lead Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support National Tactical Data Manager the preeminent Over the Horizon - Targeting tool for all the Warfighting Services!

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
• Perform system hardening, patching, and other activities necessary to maintain secure and reliable systems
• Communicate effectively with program personnel, Government representatives, mission partners, and senior executives
• Collaborate with developers and testers to support software development, system integration, verification, and mission-effect validation
• Ensure the technical integrity and quality of work products and deliverables within the assigned systems engineering area
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, system architectures, and system design documentation
• Gather data pertaining to user needs and problems and use the information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements
• Participate in a weekly rotating after hours on-call team

Requirements

• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles, processes, and methodologies
• Strong Linux systems administration and engineering experience. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
• CompTIA Security+ Certification, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Active TS/SCI w/Poly is required

Desired Skills

• Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently assess a project, identify an effective technical approach, and implement a solution
• Experience with Keycloak, LDAP, Geoserver, and NIFI
• Knowledge of tactical data links and related technologies, such as Link 16, IBS, and Cursor-on-Target (CoT)
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, mission-focused environment
• Ability to support Information Assurance activities

Security Clearance

An active Top Secret SCI w/Polygraph security clearance is required for this position.

Pay

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
