About the role
SAIC is seeking a cleared MBSE Systems Engineer to support a portfolio of Battlespace Awareness and Information Operations (BAIO) capabilities for our DoD customer.
Responsibilities
- Exercise thought leadership and practical engineering application by leveraging Systems Engineering and Model-Based Engineering experiences to transform programs from a document-centric approach to a model-based approach.
- Apply knowledge of systems engineering processes, methods, tools, and program roles to help develop, implement, and deploy Systems Engineering and Integration solutions for use on individual programs.
- Learn, apply, and continuously improve our current Model-Based SE&I platform to capture stakeholder and system requirements, facilitate discussion and understanding of SE&I solution usage, and enhance our model-based engineering culture.
- Engage with other systems engineers to develop Systems Engineering work products, including System Specifications, Logically Derived and Linked Requirements, Architecture Descriptions, Interface Definitions, System Diagrams, Trade Studies, etc.
- Engage with the larger community to stay updated with latest trends and emerging technologies, approaches, methods, and techniques to further mature and or increase SEI capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering or Math with 5+ years of experience; Master’s with 3+ years of experience.
- 4 additional years of experience acceptable in lieu of advanced education.
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and procedures.
- Intermediate/Advance experience using enterprise modeling tools to model complex systems using SysML, UPDM, BPMN, and/or UAF.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in modeling large-scale, complex system of systems.
- Experience using CAMEO Enterprise Architect and Team Work Cloud.
- Experience with Gitlab.
- Analyze and model complex system of systems architectures, ensuring all components and interfaces are accurately represented.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and program managers to gather requirements and understand system interactions.
- Lead architecture working groups and technical interchange meetings to communicate and review architectural models.
- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

- Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, government technical representatives, and other supporting contractors.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team collaborative environment.
Pay
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
Schedule
Full-time, day shift; travel 10% of the time.
