SAIC’s is currently hiring an Enterprise-level Systems Engineering and Technical Assistant in support to the Intelligence Community (IC) in Chantilly, VA. This customer is responsible for designing, building, and operating national security-related systems based in space, in the air, and on the ground. SAIC has an opening for a mid-level systems engineer architect to provide Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) services to an IC customer. The customer organization we support provides the enterprise architecting, analysis, and systems engineering solutions that determine the current and future national space systems. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Identifying and defining future space capability needsIdentifying key architecture and system level tradesDeveloping strategies in support of IC and Department of Defense (DoD) architecturesAssessing the performance of current and future architecture conceptsProviding technical and programmatic guidance to the architecture and system level requirements process Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in STEM (science, technical, engineering, math) or related discipline with at least 9+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in STEM with 7 years of relevant experienceActive TS/SCI clearance with polygraphStrong technical fundamentals in IC space collectors, command and control, mission control, and mission processingUnderstanding of how to use architecting and engineering to support senior level enterprise decision makingWorking knowledge/familiarity with architecture and engineering toolsArchitecture and engineering domain understanding from a holistic enterprise perspectiveAbility to recommend space enterprise architecture tradeoffs, impacts, and advancementExperience in development and use of modeling for architecture solutionsUnderstanding of core systems engineering and analysis disciplines and processesExperience with lifecycle readiness from System Requirements Review through system decommissioningDemonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsCustomer focused and capable of representing the customer in community forums Target salary range $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
