Systems Engineer-Level 2 - TS/SCI Fullscope Poly
Role Description
The Systems Engineer- Level 2 analyzes user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. They lead design and development activities, guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. They provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, incorporating new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. They develop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation, guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans. They interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts. They communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
Required Skills
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or four (4) years of additional engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- Active TS/SCI with Fullscope polygraph security clearance
- Certified Scrum Master with proven experience running/driving SW development team
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS) architectures, concepts, and services
- Competent with Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, Jira, Gliffy)
- Creation and maintenance of dashboards, sprint boards, backlogs, and related documentation
- Mapping Initiatives, Epics, and Stories to Sprint and Spin plans
- Working knowledge of engineering products such as Context – Containers – Components – Code (C4) diagrams, Interface Documents, and Context Diagrams
- Tracing Functional Requirements to Stories, Epics, Use Cases, and Feature Maps
- Customer-facing/collaboration experience (someone who can bond with demanding customer technical managers/leads)
- Extremely detailed-oriented and strong communicator
- Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) architectures, concepts, and services
- Working knowledge of microservices, Cloud Native, and serverless approaches to modern systems, SW development, Security, Data Storage, Data Distribution, or User Interface experience (re. Subject Matter Expertise) a must and dependent upon need
