Systems Engineer IV
About the role
We're looking for a highly skilled RF Systems & Automation Engineer who combines expertise in wireless communication systems with strong Linux and Python automation skills to help drive innovation, reliability, and operational excellence. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of RF engineering, embedded communications, large-scale infrastructure operations, and automation, helping design and maintain high-performance systems that support mission-critical wireless networks.
Responsibilities
- Design, automate, monitor, and optimize large-scale wireless communication systems.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across RF systems, Linux environments, networking infrastructure, and embedded platforms.
- Develop automation tools and self-healing solutions using Python and shell scripting to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
- Create monitoring frameworks, performance dashboards, and operational metrics to measure system health and drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze recurring system failures and implement long-term solutions through simplification, automation, and process improvement.
- Build scalable server monitoring and management solutions that reduce operational overhead.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve system performance, reliability, and security.
- Establish and promote best practices around documentation, testing, security, and operational support.
- Support large-scale communication networks and infrastructure while maintaining high levels of uptime and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Deep experience with wireless communication and embedded RF systems.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong understanding of RF systems, troubleshooting methodologies, and system-level debugging.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, access controls, and secure system configuration.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
Highly Desired Experience
- Wireless embedded communication systems.
- RF test equipment and validation environments.
- GPS/GNSS technologies and related communications systems.
- Defining and measuring system KPIs and performance metrics.
- Monitoring and managing large-scale communication infrastructure.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $75.00 – $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
