Systems Engineer III – Spokane, WA (contract)
Pay
$50/hour – $65/hour, depending on experience
Schedule
3‑month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion.
Responsibilities
- Understand how complex robotics workcells operate, including servo drives, industrial networks, safety systems, and integration with host systems.
- Develop and deploy robotics workcells, applying commissioning best practices and troubleshooting methodologies for complex integrated systems.
- Own development of systems and features to improve system throughput, availability, quality, and deployment speed and efficacy.
- Document systems for internal teams as well as partner commissioning and support teams.
- Develop and evaluate metrics to assess performance of machines and systems.
- Perform software development for controls systems.
Requirements
- In‑depth knowledge of and experience developing control systems, including PLC and HMI applications and integration of components such as drives, barcode readers, and remote sensors.
- Proficiency in multiple IEC 61131‑3 programming languages.
- Understanding of basic network troubleshooting for industrial networks (e.g., EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of C, C++ or Java.
- Experience deploying or managing machines in large‑scale, geographically diverse environments.
