Systems Engineer III

About the Role

Arcfield is seeking a Systems Engineer to handle fielding and technical support activities associated with cross-domain systems. This position requires 25% to 50% travel to customer locations around the world. You must live within the local area.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation activities with customer site representatives.
• Travel to customer sites to install and configure the system.
• Engage with product development teams to stay updated on new security and functional features in upcoming releases.
• Integrate systems with site infrastructure components such as email servers, file servers, time servers, PKI servers, continuous monitoring systems, VM servers, and KVM capabilities.
• Support installation and maintenance of engineering environment systems/networks for installation planning, customer training, and Help Desk operations.
• Perform functional testing, system installation prototyping, customer training, technical support, and system hardware staging.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field with 5-7 years of experience (MS: 3-5 years, PhD: 0-2 years).
• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems, Microsoft Windows, desktop applications (email, file transfer, browsers), computer networking, and VM technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Ability to obtain DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Windows, desktop applications, networking/protocols, VM technologies, Bash scripting, XML tools, Active Directory, and MS Exchange.
• Basic knowledge of Security Enhanced Linux (SE Linux).
• Experience with system integration, network troubleshooting, system troubleshooting, and regular expressions.
• Familiarity with multi-level secure system architectures and system approval processes.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
• Active DOD 870 IAT Level II certification or higher.

Pay

Projected compensation range: $88,874.63 – $153,517.58. Final salary may vary based on experience, skills, location, education, certifications, and other factors.
