About the role

You will design and develop solutions involving robotics, data management, and precision conveyance. You will participate in large-scale control engineering projects, supporting global deployments of equipment. You will work independently with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver cross-functional projects that are of a high quality (e.g., on-time, on-budget, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in large-scale control engineering projects, supporting global deployments of equipment.
  • Work independently with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver cross-functional projects that are of a high quality (e.g., on-time, on-budget, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).
  • Partner with project managers and external vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules to meet a deadline.
  • Influence technical documentation content, perform documentation review, dive deep into RCA and solutions.
  • Competently represent system and/or equipment designs to both customers and other teams and communicate project status, effectively answer project questions in detail, and regularly produce clear and concise summaries for the projects you own to your leadership/management team.
  • Excel at developing good working relationships with vendors, engineers, managers, and peers.
  • Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout.
  • Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center leadership and their operations teams across multiple sites as well as their Launch, Facilities, Process Engineers, and other business stakeholders.
  • Identify and lead process improvement initiatives in support of operations teams.
  • Travel up to 10% domestically.

Qualifications

  • Experience with robotics, data management, and precision conveyance.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence technical documentation content and perform documentation review.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques and tools.
