Systems Engineer I

Job Summary

IDR is seeking a Systems Engineer I to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Los Angeles, California. The role supports and enhances enterprise infrastructure enabling teams across the organization to perform at their best.

Position Overview

• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure across compute, storage, identity, virtualization, backup, and cloud services
• Aid in provisioning, configuration, and administration of Windows and/or Linux systems in an enterprise environment
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and service issues, escalating and partnering with senior engineers and cross-functional teams as needed
• Contribute to automation and scripting efforts to improve repeatability, consistency, and operational efficiency
• Maintain clear technical documentation for systems, processes, configurations, and recovery procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or IT operations in an enterprise environment
• Familiarity with core services such as Active Directory (or similar identity services), DNS, and DHCP
• Exposure to virtualization and cloud concepts (e.g., VMware/Hyper-V and/or AWS fundamentals) plus basic storage/backup/recovery concepts
• Ability to use scripting/automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash) and produce clear operational documentation
