Systems Engineer I

About the role

Develop and integrate systems for Drop-on-Demand (DoD) printers, translating customer needs into clear system and software requirements while supporting the full product lifecycle from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer needs into clear system and software requirements.
• Author and maintain specifications, theories of operation, and system architecture documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure requirements are well-defined and validated.
• Support verification, validation, and requirements lifecycle management using tools like Jira and Ease Requirements.
• Stay informed on industry trends in embedded systems and printing technology.
• Ensure requirements meet customer and regulatory needs.
• Coordinate with software, firmware, electrical, and mechanical teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and industry innovation.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of engineering experience in an industrial setting; systems engineering experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with embedded firmware, hardware design, PCB debugging, and hardware-software interface.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interpret ambiguous inputs.
• Experience with requirements management tools.
• Knowledge of inkjet technology is a plus.
