Systems Engineer Entry Level - Pittsfield, MA

About the role
As a systems engineer for Surface and Unmanned Vessels, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing, verifying, and evaluating new and upgraded designs for US Navy Surface Vessels. Preferred skills or experiences include requirements development, integration and testing, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform customer requirements analysis, develop system requirements, and define allocations to lower levels (elements and components)
- Design, integrate, test, deploy, and improve software products
- Perform functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test, interface definition studies of subsystem or system elements
- Support the generation of technical engineering products by using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle
- Develop software architecture artifacts that provide a common understanding of the solution behind complex systems to various stakeholders
- Perform integration and testing of combat systems work products, including simulation and live testing
- Conduct complex data reduction and analysis to provide actionable insight and recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
- Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire (U.S. citizenship required)

Pay
Target salary range: USD $77,843.00/Yr. - USD $86,358.00/Yr. Actual pay may vary based on experience and geographic location.
Schedule
This position is fully on-site or hybrid/flex as conditions allow. While on-site, you will work at the Pittsfield, MA office location.
