Responsibilities
- Develop prognostic and predictive maintenance features for connected vehicles.
- Create system models using MATLAB/Simulink and generate production-level C++ code.
- Define system architectures and requirements using MBSE, SysML, and MagicDraw.
- Analyze vehicle sensor data, CAN signals, and connected vehicle telemetry.
- Support diagnostics, prognostics, and feature development throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
- Conduct FMEA, FMEDA, cybersecurity assessments, and support ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 compliance.
- Work with automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve vehicle quality, customer experience, and feature performance.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 5+ years of automotive engineering and/or data analytics experience.
- Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink and C++.
- Experience with Robust Engineering fundamentals including DFMEA, P-Diagrams, validation planning, and requirements development.
- Knowledge of vehicle architecture, sensors, diagnostics, and prognostics systems.
- Experience with MagicDraw, Jira, Jama, and Teamcenter.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across engineering teams.
Qualifications
- PhD in Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- Experience developing connected vehicle or cloud-based features.
- Strong understanding of vehicle communications, diagnostics, and large-scale data analytics.
- Experience with Gherkin requirements development and systems modeling.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, SQL, and connected vehicle telemetry.
- Experience leading features from concept through production launch.
- Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, and cloud-to-vehicle communications.
