Responsibilities
- Design/develop system architectures, define key capabilities and performance requirements
- Define total systems design and technology that meet mission requirements
- Define system implementation approach and operational concepts
- Develop models and architectural guidelines for future technologies
- Ensure requirements are met and evaluate performance measures
- Perform system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessment, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses
- Understand and implement systems engineering processes on programs and projects
- Create and update essential engineering documents including specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations
- Cook up with other functional engineers to develop and test products, resolve compatibility and interface problems with other subsystems
- Provide timely production support and problem resolution
- Able to obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills
- MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering)
- DOORS, Jama, and Cameo experience
- Control system modeling using Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with cyber security
- Video transport and encoding (H.264, MISB and SMPTE standards)
- Video processing algorithms
- Understanding of defense products for the environments and platforms L3Harris supports
- Adequate communication skills (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical personnel
- Adequate attention to detail and deadlines
Pay
The salary range for this role in New York state is $92,500 - $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
