About the role
Under the direction of the IT Director, this role provides technical assistance, support, and advice to hotel and casino staff using computers and peripherals. The incumbent will troubleshoot and diagnose issues, gather data to identify staff needs, evaluate system requirements, and assist in user training for new hardware and software. The role also involves coordinating with vendors for maintenance and services, acting as a Supervisor for the Systems Administration Team, and performing administrative tasks as required.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida policies and procedures.
- Receive, configure, install, and support computer hardware and peripherals in a networked environment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware and software issues for users in their workspace.
- Assist the Network Administrator and IT staff in rolling out network, operating system, and software upgrades and patches.
- Use hand tools, diagnostic, and predictive software to perform routine maintenance and upgrades on computers, peripherals, and server hardware.
- Manage replacement spares through repair or Dealer RMA programs to ensure maximum hardware availability and minimal downtime.
- Maintain statistical and maintenance data on issue remediation for supported hardware and appliances.
- Lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently during a shift.
- Perform other departmental duties as assigned by management.
- Supervise Systems Administrators in scheduling, training, coaching, mentoring, evaluating, and disciplining.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to responsible gaming and alcohol service by discreetly notifying managers of concerns.

- Notify managers or the Ethics Hotline of any illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related discipline is preferred; equivalent technical training and certification may be considered.
- Four years of experience managing a computer hardware support and maintenance team, as well as performing as a team member, is preferred.
- MCSE and VMWare certifications are preferred.
- Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests in English regarding position duties.
- Must be able to work in a hectic, fast-paced, and often crowded and noisy casino environment, with potential exposure to secondhand smoke and the general public.

The Tribal Council gives preference in employment to Native Americans, with first preference to members of the Seminole Tribe and second preference to members of other federally recognized tribes.
