Systems Engineer

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Aerodynamics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field
• Minimum two (2) years' relevant systems engineering work experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level - U.S. Citizenship required

Job Description

• Work across several Aegis programs with responsibilities in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Integrated Air Missile Defense (IAMD) tasking for the Mission Planner
• Design and develop models and algorithms in support of BMD and IAMD missions
• Analyze and assess mission capabilities and solutions
• Develop solutions to mathematical and physics-based problems in the area of mission planning for IAMD scenarios
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into a total system solution that acknowledges technical, schedule, and cost constraints

Desired Skills

• MS level degree in Aerodynamics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field
• Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to successfully complete projects in a timely manner
• US Navy Operator or Aegis Combat Systems experience
• Ability to research technical challenges and provide effective solutions
• Matlab familiarity
• Aerodynamic modeling
• Software requirements familiarity
• Data science familiarity
• Machine learning familiarity
