Systems Engineer

About the role

Lead technical discovery and synthesise complex customer requirements for modular data centers. Define physical, electrical, thermal, and logical interface boundaries. Partner with Sales to generate technically rigorous conceptual layouts and power flow architectures. Champion standardised product configurations and guide customers toward configure-to-order solutions. Assess engineering risk and cost impact of custom features. Translate validated customer site requirements into rigorous design inputs for engineering teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years in a high-touch, customer-facing engineering role in critical power or modular data center infrastructure
• Proven experience negotiating complex engineering trade-offs with hyperscale or colocation providers
• History of converting customer site-specific designs into manufactured industrial products
• Holistic understanding of MV/LV power systems, thermal topologies, and integrated fire suppression
• Familiarity with SCADA, BMS, and EMS system integrations, including communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP)
• Proficiency in navigating and reviewing Revit, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks assemblies
