You Have
- 8+ years of experience maintaining, patching, and troubleshooting both Windows Server, such as Active Directory or Group Policy, and Linux-based enterprise systems
- 5+ years of experience performing daily maintenance, resource allocation, and troubleshooting within VMware environments, such as vSphere or VCF, to keep virtualized workloads stable
- 5+ years of experience with the physical and logical upkeep of Dell server hardware and zero client endpoints, such as configuring profiles and troubleshooting display or peripheral connectivity
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt new enterprise tools and technologies, such as Splunk, PKI, Jira, and hardware-specific management interfaces
- Ability to smoothly transition designs and implementations built by the engineering team into stable, daily operations, and acting as the primary feedback loop when things need adjustment
- Ability to translate complex troubleshooting steps and daily maintenance workflows into clear, structured technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to ensure team-wide consistency and seamless handoffs with the engineering team
- Ability to perform diagnostic and analytical tasks to interrogate system logs, such as OS, hypervisor, and application level, and perform comprehensive root cause analysis and rapidly resolve system degradations or outages
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Certification, such as SEC+ Certification
Nice If You Have
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting systems on military training or simulation networks, including systems supporting Missile Warning or senior leader decision-making events
- Experience using basic PowerShell or Bash scripting to automate daily health checks or parse large log files during troubleshooting
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as routing, switching, IP addressing, and VLANs, to help isolate if an issue belongs to the OS, the hypervisor, or the network
- Knowledge of structured troubleshooting frameworks or ticketing systems, such as Jira, to document root cause analyses and build a local knowledge base for the team
