About the role
BAE Systems has recently been awarded new programs and is experiencing an exciting period of growth. We develop sophisticated digital Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and are looking for motivated engineers to join cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams focused on detecting, locating, and countering threats for joint and international aircrew. These roles will support Next Generation Electronic Systems Products and Solutions, delivering on our motto “We Protect Those Who Protect Us®.”
Responsibilities
- Creation and/or review of systems, software, component, subsystem requirements and operational concepts
- Deriving, decomposing, allocation and traceability of requirements to engineering disciplines
- Identification of risks and opportunities and executing mitigation strategies
- Identification of system technical performance measures
- Participation in trade studies, analysis, peer reviews, and customer meetings
- Support system modeling & simulation, design, and development activities
- Creation of external and internal interface definitions
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering tools and approaches
- Presentation of findings at design reviews internally or with customers
- Creation of test plans, test procedures, and reports
- Creation and/or review of algorithms
- Analysis of data to inform decision making
- Execution of integration, verification, and validation activities and tests
- Participation in external field and flight tests of our EW systems
- Participation in continuous improvement of the Systems Engineering discipline
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
- Entry-level engineering experience
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering
- Experience with complex electromechanical products or Electronic Warfare systems
- Experience with systems engineering activities across the product development lifecycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, architecture, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test, production, sustainment)
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $64,926 – $110,374. Individual salaries are determined by business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
