Position’s Contributions to Work Group: This position is for a systems engineer for the development and integration of advanced technology with heavy-duty equipment / machines. This includes the integration of sensors, components, and software for automation & autonomy products. Typical task breakdown:Translate customer / commercial requirements into system requirementsDecompose high-level automation & autonomy features into system-level functional requirements, maintain clear traceability and documentationDefine the system architecture, interfaces, and integration strategy across the machine subsystemsCollaborate on the design approach and trade-offsDevelop features integrating across hardware, software, sensors, and control systemsCreate and track FMEAsCross-functional coordination with machine systems, software, digital teams, validation, and product supportIssue resolution through triage and troubleshootingTrack schedule, deliverables, and technical risk Education & Experience Required: Years of experience: 5 years of relevant experience; Masters - 3 years expDegree requirement: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited engineering or robotics or equivalent technical field; Top Skills:Development and tracking of requirementsStrong understanding of integrating sensors, computer, and softwareIssue resolution through triage and troubleshooting Technical Skills:Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering or Robotics or equivalent technical field.5 years of relevant engineering development workFamiliarity with software development processesExperience reading and understanding prints for components and wiring harnessesExperience writing and tracking requirementsStrong understanding of integrating sensors and computing as well as tradeoffsGreat teamwork, communication, analysis, and troubleshooting skills are required.The individual should be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to learn at an accelerated pace, and willing to put in time to get the job done.Experience in the areas of robotics, remote control, or autonomyExperience with datalinks (CAN, Ethernet, etc.) and associated tools (CANape, Wireshark, etc.)Experience with Azure DevOpsExperience with software development tools such as git, debuggers, and compilersExperience with ROSExperience with perception and positioning sensor configuration and calibrationExperience with FMEA processes and a basic knowledge of electronic system failure modesExperience developing systems for mobile, earthmoving, agricultural, industrial, or off-highway applications Soft Skills:The individual should be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to learn at an accelerated pace, and willing to put in time to get the job done.Great teamwork, communication, analysis, and troubleshooting skills are required.Experience presenting design concepts, reviews, and results Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $49.00- $50.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
