Systems Engineer

Contract to Hire position based in Huntsville, AL.

About the role

As a Systems Engineer, you will assist in developing or modifying systems and subsystems. This role involves functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware, systems, and subsystems for products. You will work alongside other engineering and technical personnel to investigate and resolve operational problems in a small, cleared office with a tight-knit team. The team supports radar systems for destroyers, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage, analyze, and decompose system requirements.
• Develop system performance models and code using MATLAB.
• Perform system integration, including hardware/software integration and testing.
• Conduct system tests and verification processes.
• Design and develop embedded systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2-10 years of experience in systems engineering.
• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start.
• Proficiency in system integration and MATLAB.
• Experience in system performance modeling and coding.
• Competence in system test and verification.
• Strong skills in embedded systems design and development.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule offering options such as 4/10s or 9/80s.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
