About the role
The Central Region Systems Engineering organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer 2/3 based out of Aurora, CO.
Responsibilities
- Performs system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Supports the development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout).

Requirements
- Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree.
- Experience with development of test plans, procedures, and reports (functional testing and checkout).
- Experience with Linux and Windows based systems.
- Experience with software installations utilizing docker.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
- Experience working with the Atlassian Suite of tools (Confluence, Jira).
- Understanding of entire product lifecycle, modeling and engineering best practices.
- Experience with data collection/instrumentation methods.
- Experience in troubleshooting anomalous hardware and software.
- The ability to travel to OCONUS for 7 to 14 day increments (up to 20% annually).
Qualifications
- For a Level 2: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree.
- For a Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree; 1 year of relevant experience with a PhD.
Skills
- Experience in integration and test of ground station systems to include antenna and RF knowledge.
- Experience in software installations utilizing Kubernetes.

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00
Schedule
This role can travel approximately 20% of the time to OCONUS locations with durations lasting approximately 1-2 weeks. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
