Systems Development Engineer, Antenna System Validation, Amazon Leo

About the role

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network, aiming to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. We are looking for a versatile Systems Development Engineer who thrives at the intersection of software, hardware, RF, and signal processing.

Responsibilities

• Develop tools for characterizing system performance of phased array antennas
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design, model, and evaluate phased array architectures while analyzing end-to-end RF performance
• Build scalable test frameworks, characterization tools, and automated test pipelines for system validation
• Plan, develop, and implement test activities for phased array antennas

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
• 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience
• Experience coding, scripting, automating in at least one language (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, or PowerShell)
• Experience in a Linux or Unix environment
• Experience with phased array antenna architectures, beamforming, or RF characterization techniques
• Experience with lab equipment (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes), and foundational knowledge of RF principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of phased array antennas, electromagnetics, or digital signal processing (DSP) fundamentals

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $129,200.00 - $174,800.00 USD annually.
