About the role

This requisition can be filled at a level 2 Systems Engineer or a level 3 Principal Systems Engineer. Additionally, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to the candidate’s maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting trade studies to evaluate design decisions and defining the resulting architecture.
  • Allocating and validating requirements to develop specification products.
  • Supporting modeling and simulation tools for performance analysis and evaluation of thread capabilities.
  • Mentoring and leading technical teams in space and ground systems integration.
  • Technical leadership for managing space and ground systems integration.

  • Leveraging MBSE tools, methodologies, and workflows to develop, maintain, and validate system models as the technical baseline for the effort.
  • Supporting the Systems Engineering team to define and document the system design, requirements, interfaces, and mission/operational concept within the MBSE tool suite.

Requirements

  • For Systems Engineer – Level 2: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 2+ years of engineering experience OR Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline.
  • For Principal Systems Engineer – Level 3: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience OR Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 1+ year(s) of engineering experience.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering processes including architecture and requirements development and interface definition.
  • Understanding and experience with Model Based Systems Engineering, Cameo Enterprise Architect, and SysML modeling (or equivalent).
  • Understanding and experience with modeling and simulation approaches and tools.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.

Pay

Annual salary range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 for Level 2 Systems Engineer and $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 for Level 3 Principal Systems Engineer.
