Systems Analyst / Mainframe Programmer

About the role

The Systems Analyst / Mainframe Programmer will be responsible for analyzing business needs, designing and implementing mainframe systems solutions, and ensuring system performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements to design and implement mainframe systems solutions
• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, PL/I, or other relevant languages
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and compliance
• Perform system testing and debugging to ensure high-quality output
• Document system designs and processes for future reference and training purposes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe programming and analysis
• Proficiency in COBOL, PL/I, and other mainframe languages
• Experience with IBM z/OS and related technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mainframe operating systems and tools
• Experience with data management and database administration
• Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
