Systems Analyst

Responsibilities

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like energy consumption, maintenance costs, and user satisfaction.
• Use benchmarks to compare performance against past data or industry averages.
• Optimize resource use, enhance safety, improve occupant experience, and ensure the facility supports overall business objectives.
• Benchmarking: Compare a facility's performance against internal historical data or external industry averages to identify strengths, weaknesses, and best practices.
• Data analysis: Use statistical and logical techniques to condense, analyze, and interpret data from operations to provide actionable insights.
• Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Measure performance in specific areas, such as:
• Energy consumption
• Asset reliability and uptime
• Maintenance costs
• Work order aging and response times
• Preventive vs. reactive maintenance ratios
• User satisfaction surveys
• Continuous improvement: Treat performance analysis as an ongoing process to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve efficiency, safety, and functionality over time.
• Utilize software like Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to centralize data and create real-time dashboards for monitoring and reporting.
• Submit and manage utilities applications.

Requirements

• Proficient with Desktop PC, Microsoft Office Suite, and energy software.

Qualifications

• Degreed Mechanical Engineer or equivalent field experience.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred.
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM).
• Experience: 2-3 or more years of experience in facilities management, operations, or data analysis is a common requirement. Some roles may specify experience with specific systems, like CMMS, or with maintenance operations and procurement practices. For senior roles, experience in developing and implementing performance analysis programs may be required.

• Technical knowledge: Understanding of building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and automation technologies is often required.
• Data visualization: Ability to create clear and effective visual representations of data.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating with various departments.
• Software proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software tools for data analysis, energy modeling, and facilities management systems.

Physical Demands

Pay Range

$25 - $40 per hour
