Systems Administrator - Senior
About the Role
The Systems Administrator Support Specialist will provide specialized Information Technology and network administration in support of advanced IT infrastructure development. The focus is on Windows Server/Linux administration, as well as providing technical advice on advanced IT and networking issues. The role involves daily interaction with Information Technology/Cybersecurity Teams, Program Managers, and industry subject‑matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to assist the government with technical assessments and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience required.
- DoD 8570 Level II certification.
- Experience in cyber systems development and sustainment.
- Knowledge of network protection, attack, and exploitation.
- Experience with integration and test for DoD and USAF systems.
- Familiarity with DoD, USAF, and interagency information assurance requirements.
- Understanding of DoD, USAF, and interagency security accreditation procedures.
- Current applicable SAP and SCI information assurance requirements (e.g., JSIG, RMF, JAFAN, etc.).
- Experience with DoD and/or USAF Special Access Programs.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Education
- Associate’s degree in an IT‑related field with 5+ years of direct IT and systems administration experience.
- Technical bachelor’s degree in an IT‑related field (cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering) – desired.
- Technical master’s degree in an IT‑related field (cybersecurity, computer science, computer engineering) – highly desired.
Clearance Requirements
Applicants must possess a current TOP SECRET clearance and be eligible for access to both TOP SECRET Special Access Programs (SAPs) and TOP SECRET Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). At least 12 months of SAP experience within the last three years is required. U.S. citizenship is required due to contract requirements.
