Systems Administrator/Network Admin

Our Customer is looking for a Network/Systems Admin to support their Distribution Control Room Technologies. Work location must be within Newark, Delaware with the ability to support sites in Philadelphia, Plymouth Meeting, and Kennett Square as needed.

About the role

This role supports the servers, desktops, LAN/WAN equipment, and applications that underpin the control room. It is part of ongoing Domain and control-room upgrade projects. The team has recently converted two contract engineers from a competitor to full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop and infrastructure support for Windows 10 & 11 environments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot server hardware, including NetApp storage and VMware virtualization.
• Administer Windows networking, Active Directory, and related services.
• Ensure compliance with NERC CIP standards.
• Manage incidents, changes, and requests using ServiceNow and JIRA.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors, control-room engineers, and Windows Engineering teams on new technology deployments.
• Follow established change-management procedures.
• Demonstrate leadership and strong communication skills.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Windows system administration, Active Directory, and infrastructure support.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, PowerCLI, and PowerShell.
• Familiarity with NetApp, Cisco MDS, and Windows networking.
• Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance requirements.

Pay

$30.00 – $33.00 per hour.
