About the Role

Systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff including developers, testers, and engineers in an environment requiring TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct systems administration support to end users and technical staff
  • Manage software and hardware deployment, patches, operating systems, and basic system backup and restore functions
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and reimage hardware
  • Support both client and server virtualization environments
  • Implement and maintain advanced security protocols and standards
  • Apply information security principles and practices
  • Support occasional day or short duration travel as needed

Requirements

  • US citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
  • 8–14 years of direct/relevant experience as a systems administrator
  • Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory
  • Experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, operating systems, and backup/restore functions
  • Familiarity with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, and Nessus
  • Knowledge of Red Hat and VMWare
  • Solid understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
  • Experience with client and server virtualization environments
  • Ability to install, configure, troubleshoot, and reimage hardware
  • Solid understanding of information security principles and practices
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with SQL Server
  • SALT and Python scripting experience
  • Experience supporting a software configuration management and development environment
  • Experience working in an Agile Development Environment or on an Agile Team
  • Knowledge of PKI systems which use HSMs to validate key and NTP for synchronization
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and PowerCLI
  • Experience in documenting and providing information for security accreditation and certification

Education

Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.
