Systems Administrator II
Onsite position in San Antonio, TX. Active Secret (or above) clearance required.
About the role
Alpha Omega is seeking a Systems Administrator II to maintain and troubleshoot enterprise-level products and services, including hardware, firmware, and software for both on-premise and MED365 Cloud/Tenant environments. This role supports mobile computing, end-user devices, and cloud/tenant environments with a focus on secure access, resource allocation, and Azure account management.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot enterprise-level hardware (servers), firmware, and software for on-premise and MED365 Cloud/Tenant environments.
- Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve issues involving server patches, configurations, software issues, and scheduled maintenance events.
- Utilize Information Assurance tools to validate proper installation and function of deployed security patches and solutions.
- Modify, create, and configure Active Directory (AD) user accounts; recover and restore AD objects.
- Support mobile computing and end-user devices, including resetting and configuring devices.
- Identify and troubleshoot EM issues related to patches and servers; resolve DAR issues.
- Manage cloud/tenant environments, including Azure AD user creation, access permissions, and monitoring cloud resource usage and performance.
- Provide Site Administrator support and Enterprise monitoring for Group Policy Objects (GPO), including initial troubleshooting and adding Security Groups to group policies.
- Perform system administration tasks on Enterprise servers, including extending scheduled lockout conditions, initiating data recovery operations, and unlocking machines.
- Install, administer, and perform password management for Enterprise software.
- Remotely access government equipment; escalate unresolved issues to Enterprise Operations (Tier 3) and provide de-escalation paths.
- Monitor on-premise enterprise assets via SCOM, Quest Suite of Tools, and related applications to ensure core services are maintained at normal production levels.
- Create and distribute Unscheduled Downtime Reports (UDR), SITREPs, After Action Reports (AAR), Information Papers, and EXSUM documents for critical service outages or unplanned interruptions.
- Document and update incidents in the ticketing system for both on-premise and MED365 Cloud/Tenant environments.
- Perform system administrator duties within DHA’s MED365 eDiscovery to support data collection, preservation, processing, review, and production for litigation, investigations, and audits.
- Support purging or preservation of data related to spillage, leakage, phishing, or investigations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret (or above) clearance.
Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $70,000 - $109,969.
