Systems Administrator

About the role

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to join our team in Aurora, Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage Linux and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install/load operating system software, troubleshoot.
• Maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technical discipline; an additional 5 years of systems administration experience might be substituted for a degree.
• 15+ years' experience as a Systems Administrator or in related IT roles.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Familiarity with Windows.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure administration, preferably AWS.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to provide hardware transferring support.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
