Systems Administrator (4854-32)
Summary of Job Duties
Directs activities pertaining to the operation and administration of information systems and related equipment.
Advises management regarding information systems.
Revises and updates programs/operating systems for new releases.
Troubleshoots and debugs programs to resolve issues.
Ensures that programs meet defined departmental and county-wide needs.
Reviews and analyzes technological advancements and makes recommendations regarding their application and integration.
Supports staff as a lead by scheduling, assigning, and reviewing systems work.
Maintains system performance and health, ensuring high availability and compliance.
Implements and enforces security best practices, including MFA, Conditional Access, and DLP policies.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deploy new solutions and updates.
Maintains accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- three (3) years experience, with a basic knowledge of supervision.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience which indicates a thorough knowledge of computer systems, programming, electronics, and a basic knowledge of supervision.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
