Systems Administrator 2 - Linux

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level Systems Administrator to act as a Linux administrator and assist with daily program responsibilities. This role supports critical missions to protect our country, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform system administration for CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9 environments
• Upgrade servers, workstations, and laptops
• Execute Customer Secure the Enterprise (STE) tasks
• Manage Customer data transfer processes
• Install and maintain hardware (servers/workstations)
• Troubleshoot and configure Transport Layer Security (TLS)
• Administer Linux networking and Windows 10/11 systems

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph (U.S. citizenship required)
• Ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus five (5) years of additional SA experience
• Independent certification (Security+/equivalent or higher)

Qualifications

• System administration experience with CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9
• Task automation and Ansible experience
• PXE boot and Proxmox VM building
• Identity Manager (IDM) experience and integration with CentOS LDAP servers
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (desired)

• Annual salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (based on experience)
