System Test Engineer Senior

About the role

As a System Test Engineer Senior on an Enterprise Zero Trust Program for a Department of War (DoW) client, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and security of cybersecurity-focused systems and services.

Responsibilities

• Review system requirements, security requirements, and design documentation to identify testable components and create traceability.
• Define test scope, identify test cases, and establish test methodologies.
• Create comprehensive testing documentation to ensure thorough and consistent testing.
• Determine the most critical areas for testing and focus resources accordingly.
• Execute system, integration, and end-to-end testing for cybersecurity-focused systems and services.
• Document test results, maintain test evidence, and ensure compliance with internal and DoW testing standards.
• Ensure timely execution and reporting of test results to meet project deadlines.
• Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers and engineers to reproduce issues and validate fixes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system testing, software testing, or integration testing in an enterprise or government environment.
• 5+ years of experience in the development and execution of test procedures and test scripts.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document test results and findings.
• Active Secret Clearance (must currently possess and be able to obtain).
• US Citizenship required.

Skills

• Experience troubleshooting at the system level (hardware and software).
• Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail).
• Ability to read and interpret technical requirements, architecture diagrams, and security documentation.
• Strong understanding of system, integration, and functional testing practices.
• Experience with DoW acceptance testing requirements for complex systems (desired).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles such as least privilege, continuous authentication, and micro-segmentation (desired).
• Bachelor’s degree (desired).

Schedule

• Full-time (40 scheduled weekly hours).
• Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home.
• Up to 50% travel required (10-25%).
• Remote work location: Any Location / Remote.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $115,000, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
