Responsibilities
- Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
- Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals and other technical documentation.
- Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
- Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
- Participates in identification of weapon system critical program information (CPI), and determination of consequence of compromise.
- Conducts critical analysis and modeling on proposed architectures.
- Documents protective architectures.
- Develops and advocates contractual requirements in support of developmental programs.
- Captures and communicates SSE expertise to the TRB for systems technical events.
- Facilitates evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance to protection standards.
- Coordinates with program, service, Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met.
- Serves as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing SSE expertise.
Requirements
- At least three (3) or more years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering including Systems Security Engineering and associated role.
- Must have experience in developing Program Protection Plans and associated artifacts.
- Must have experience developing and understanding aircraft network architectures.
- Must have programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems and as well as guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems.
- Required experience with application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems.
- Knowledge and direct experience in systems engineering, SSE and cyber security related to weapon systems and platforms.
- Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering processes and applications.
- Knowledge and experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle.
Qualifications
- Education: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Aerospace, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Software, Network, Cyber Security, Systems Engineering, or related derivative degrees. Master’s degree may be considered in lieu of 2 years of experience.

Pay
The projected compensation range is $70,000 - $104,000 per year.
Schedule
This position currently requires an on-site schedule and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
