System/Field Application Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support customer system bring-up, including hardware, firmware, and SDK integration.
• Assist with system validation, lab testing, and post-silicon characterization.
• Collect and analyze lab data to evaluate system robustness and operating margins.
• Perform basic HSIO testing (signal integrity checks, eye diagrams, BER).
• Help debug customer issues across HW/FW/SDK boundaries and support root-cause analysis.
• Work with firmware teams to validate features, configurations, and system behavior.
• Document issues and validation results clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, validation, and marketing teams to support customers.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in system validation, hardware bring-up, or technical customer support.
• Basic understanding of system hardware and firmware interaction.
• Familiarity with high-speed interfaces and protocols such as PCIe, SerDes, I2C, and JTAG.
• Experience working with firmware or SDKs for system configuration, debug, or validation.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies).
• Good communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Exposure to HBM, UCIe, or other high-speed memory/interconnect technologies.
• Basic knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity.
• Experience debugging issues involving drivers, firmware, or SDK APIs.
• Scripting or data analysis experience (Python, MATLAB).
• Prior experience in a System Application Engineer or FAE role.
