About the role

DCS is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Electronic Systems Directorate (AFLCMC/ES). The role involves supporting the modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment of over 130 programs for the U.S. Air Force and foreign allies. This position is based at Hanscom AFB, MA, with potential support to geographically separated operating units CONUS and OCONUS.

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, test, operation, sustainment, and system disposal. You will assist government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems, electrical, and/or mechanical engineering support for new and legacy DoD systems.
  • Accomplish and coordinate engineering tasks for modifications and systems upgrades.
  • Support customers with data analysis, modification programs, repair requirements, reliability/maintainability actions, and worldwide user support.
  • Assist in designing, planning, execution, analysis, reporting, and documentation during test and evaluation programs, including FAA certifications and procedures.
  • Review and ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering-related documents throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Participate in the development of system specifications and system architecture products.
  • Support test and evaluation efforts, including planning, test conduct, and evaluation of results against operational requirements.
  • Assist in scheduling and securing required test resources in support of project and program office objectives.
  • Provide technical evaluation of contractor proposals.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on test and evaluation efforts; recommend improvements for test facilities.
  • Support development of system and program technical plans, including review of technical documents, participation in working groups, tracking risks/issues, and reviewing test plans, procedures, and data.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of the customer.
  • Must have and be able to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five of which must be in the DoD, OR 15 years of directly related experience, eight of which must be in the DoD.

Pay

Salary Range: $90,220 - $170,000
