System Engineer II – Mission Analyst (Onsite)

The Operations and Mission Analysis department supports customer-focused mission modeling and simulation activities for all customer areas at Raytheon. Our teams develop, analyze, and create flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas such as sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations. They develop tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system-level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements. About the role
As a System Engineer II – Mission Analyst, you will be part of a team of systems engineers dedicated to delivering best-in-class Raytheon products for the warfighter through modeling, simulation, and analysis. Your work will help demonstrate mission effectiveness of systems and system-of-systems operating in complex threat environments. You will develop and analyze solutions across mission technologies, including sensors, effectors, communications, command and control, and more.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to support mission trade studies using mission and engagement-level simulations.
- Develop and integrate variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system-of-systems effects in complex threat environments.
- Model system and mission kill chains using Government, Commercial, and/or Raytheon simulation tools.
- Execute mission system simulations and analyze their results.
- Develop metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events leading to an action.
- Participate in technical reviews with internal and external customers.
- Contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on projects to determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that generate supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.
Requirements
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Onsite role located in McKinney, TX.
Qualifications
You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience working with scripting languages including Python, Bash, or other common languages.
- Experience working with scientific computing environments such as MATLAB.
- Experience in Sensors (RADARS, EOIR, etc.), Network Communications, Weapons/Effects (Missiles, Projectiles), Command & Control, and/or Resource Management.
- Experience with Military Operations Analysis, Modeling & Simulation in the defense industry, and/or data analysis & visualization.
We Prefer
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Experience with standard government modeling tools including AFSIM, Suppressor, Brawler, or similar tools.
- Ability to understand tactics as described by military experts and represent their employment (verbally, graphically, and in simulations).
- Familiarity with performing data analysis and statistics with large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments.
- Experience providing briefs and presentations to US government customers.
- Active Top-Secret Clearance.
Pay
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
