System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supporting the C-SAR System Engineering team to ensure all engineering contractual requirements and deliverables are met.
• Perform studies and capture technical analysis in support future design reviews.
• Participate in CDRLs generation and deliveries based on customer prescribed schedule.
• SecDevOps processes and related Agile practices (Atlassian suite).
• Requirement’s decomposition and analysis.
• System design and architecture.
• System documentation generation and updates.
• Provide technical advice to our customers on architectures and potential solutions.
• Develop and deliver effective customer presentations (support design reviews, status reports, kickoff meetings, test plans) demonstrating an ability to communicate comfortably at a system level.
• Attend and support highly technical engineering team meetings.
• Travel as necessary to attend conferences and customer meetings.

Requirements

• 5+ years engineering experience.
• BS in SE, CS, EE, ME, or other engineering equivalent.
• Complete knowledge of Agile methodology.
• Support programs through SRR, PDR, CDR or equivalent design reviews.
• Familiarity with modern IT infrastructure capabilities to include virtualization, cloud deployment and containerization (CNFs).
• Self-motivated and comfortable with supporting multiple groups of developers, engineers, and testers.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Working knowledge of space systems, including ground systems, satellite command and control, and system development processes is a plus.

Skills

• Experience with SCN.
• Experience with AWS / Azure / cloud architecture.
• Experience with SecDevOps processes.
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) is a plus.
• Model-Based Systems Engineering using Cameo or Enterprise Architect.
• Security+ certification is not required but is beneficial to the position.
