System Architect SME

About the role

The Department of War seeks a System Architect SME to combine technical skills with strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will lead engineering projects, design systems, and evolve them with advanced technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement service profiles in UCS Manager to streamline server provisioning and reduce deployment time.
• Configure Fabric Interconnects for centralized management and unified fabric networking.
• Manage Windows servers, including setup, deployment, and maintenance, and troubleshoot networks.
• Design Server Rooms and NetApp ONTAP systems.
• Utilize Python and PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
• Lead and mentor peers, broaden skillset in Zero Trust and Cloud Technologies.

Requirements

• Experience with Cisco UCS chassis, blade servers, and integrated components.
• Experience with Fabric Interconnects and VMware, vSphere 7 or 8.
• Experience with Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy.
• Experience with Windows server management and troubleshooting networks.
• Experience designing and managing server rooms and NetApp ONTAP systems.
• Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance.
• High school diploma or GED.

Skills

• Shell scripting or PowerShell.
• Automation tools.
• Multiple hypervisor environments, including Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vCenter.
• Independent research and solution application.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
