About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a Datacenter Product Architect to define and design products for AI, high‑performance computing, and other datacenter markets. The role involves driving architecture for datacenter systems from the chip to the full datacenter, collaborating with silicon, software, networking, and operations teams, and translating customer needs into design inputs.

Responsibilities

  • Drive architecture for datacenter systems, considering everything from the chip to the full datacenter.
  • Work with counterparts from silicon, software, networking, operations, and other teams to define and build future NVIDIA products.
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to understand customer needs, translate them into design inputs, and align on consistent strategies.
  • Analyze performance, power, and cost of different solutions to understand architectural trade‑offs and guide design decisions.
  • Work across engineering and operations teams to define and implement systems from concept through large production deployments.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience working on datacenter systems.
  • Deep understanding of hardware architecture and design of servers, including mechanical, power, and thermal aspects, and their interaction with at‑scale datacenter deployment.
  • Hands‑on experience with hard problems that span software and hardware.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record of leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience); a Master’s degree is preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with large projects involving co‑development of custom processors or accelerators, systems, and software.
  • Familiarity with GPU compute and NVIDIA networking.
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations processes.
  • Experience with cloud server deployments and operations.
  • Demonstrated passion for technology and a love of the work.

Compensation

Base salary range: $224,000 – $356,500 USD, determined by location, experience, and comparable employee pay. Eligibility for equity and additional benefits.

Benefits

NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, equity participation, and the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge technologies in AI, deep learning, autonomous vehicles, and robotics.
