System Analyst, IT AMI Implementation Technology - New York, NY

Core Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production application issues, review performance and document results and root cause analyses.
• Support the iteration and maintenance of IT systems, which support the data received from smart electric meters, as well as from gas meters/leak detectors.
• Collaborate with system specialists on various application improvements.
• Works with vendors to deploy software fixes and support testing across various AMI systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting high-priority system issues and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Prepare routine maintenance change management for production moves, including documentation, communication and releases.
• Maintain code integrity and organizational standards through version control and documentation best practices.
• Develop monitoring alerts and queries, and train junior staff for day-to-day operations.
• Participate in developing proactive, predictive and preventative alerting procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and four (4) years of experience in an Information Technology (IT) related field.
• or Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience in an Information Technology (IT) related field.
• Knowledge of application support, troubleshooting and debugging, required.
• Exposure to systems design across one or more platforms and supporting future integrations of these systems, required.
• Understanding of Waterfall, Agile or other rapid application development methods, required.
• Experience with technical documentation and communication to IT and business groups, required.
• Experience Supporting a Large Infrastructure Of Systems, Preferred.
• Experience with SQL or other query tools, Azure DevOps and Python, preferred.
• Exposure to Grafana and dashboards created by IT, preferred.
