About the role
Leidos is seeking a motivated System Administrator (SA) to join a diverse team committed to the sustainment of critical U.S. Army systems. The SA will support the Task Force 2200 (TF2200) program and report to the TF2200 Operations Support Manager. The position requires ingenuity, critical thinking, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to establish positive working relationships with team members and users. Customer interaction occurs daily, and the candidate should be prepared to help customers meet their goals while working within Government regulations to maintain compliance and ensure a strong security posture.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and sustain all components of Microsoft Windows–based networks, which may include Linux components such as data processing clusters, network storage devices, authentication servers, and workstations.
- Provide tiers 1 and 2 customer support for hardware and software issues.
- Document procedures, follow configuration management processes, monitor and maintain system performance, and ensure systems meet service level agreements.
- Assist with planning and implementing system upgrades; ensure system architecture is compatible with existing systems and compliant with policies, procedures, and standards.
- Learn relevant, highly technical system details and domain knowledge, synthesize this knowledge into effective IT architecture, and work with Subject Matter Experts to extract detailed technical requirements.
- Collaborate with teammates to implement and maintain necessary infrastructure components.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity principles and DoD/Army requirements for confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation in a tactical environment.
- Comply with the security assessment and authorization process (Risk Management Framework).
Requirements
- A relevant BS degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another IT-related engineering program.
- BS degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Five years of direct relevant experience may substitute for the BS degree.
- U.S. citizenship and residency in the Colorado Springs, CO area or willingness to relocate.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain Security+ CE certification within the first six months of employment.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II or III requirements within six months of hire (transitioning to DoD 8140).

- DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
- Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT)
