System Administrator

About the role

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a System Administrator to join a new team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role will provide engineering, design, architecture, installation, configuration, and maintenance for the Cryptographic Physical Products Modernizations (CPPM) program, which aims to modernize existing systems that order, generate, produce, and distribute physical products.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Infrastructure experience installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and using system security (container security, virtual machine security, security boundary enforcement), configuration, and reporting tools.
• Infrastructure experience with the following tools is strongly preferred: ELK, Tripwire, VMware, RedHat SELinux security tool suite

Qualifications

• Active security clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (05) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
