Job Summary
The Vice President of Clinical Operations for Ambulatory Surgery at CommonSpirit Health is a critical executive leadership position. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the ongoing clinical excellence, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and guaranteeing regulatory adherence across CommonSpirit's extensive network of multi-regional ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for all clinical aspects across CommonSpirit's ASC network, driving consistent quality, safety, and patient satisfaction through system-wide policies, quality programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure comprehensive adherence to all federal, state, and accreditation regulations (e.g., CMS, AAAHC), overseeing regulatory readiness, surveys, and developing robust clinical risk management programs for all ASCs.
- Standardize clinical workflows, optimize processes, and integrate innovative practices to enhance efficiency, reduce variation, and improve patient throughput across the ASC portfolio, leveraging data for performance monitoring and corrective actions.
- Remotely recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing clinical leadership team, fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment and implementing comprehensive clinical training and competency assessment programs across all ASC staff.
- Actively contribute to strategic planning by providing clinical expertise, supporting the integration of new ASCs, evaluating new services and technologies, and participating in due diligence for potential growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with internal CommonSpirit stakeholders and external partners, effectively communicating clinical performance, challenges, and strategic opportunities to executive leadership and representing the system externally.
