Responsibilities
- Support our efforts to ensure high academic standards while also focusing on the social-emotional needs of all students.
- Teach High School Spanish III and AP Spanish to students in grades 9-11.
- Collaborate with a diverse and committed School Leadership Team (SLT).
- Use interactive, hands-on, and creative learning methods.
- Utilize technology to support instruction in all areas.
- Implement differentiation of curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Employ co-teaching and ELL strategies.
- Engage in restorative practices, anti-racism education, culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogy, and trauma-informed practices.
- Reflect on and implement feedback to improve instructional effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Skilled in current teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
- A graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant content area.
- Current possessor of a valid New York State Teaching Certification or willing to enroll in a New York State Teaching Certification Program and obtain such Certification within two years.

Pay
Salary range for certified teachers: $68,500 - $124,061
Salary range for uncertified teachers: $65,500 - $121,061
