Responsibilities

  • Support our efforts to ensure high academic standards while also focusing on the social-emotional needs of all students.
  • Teach High School Spanish III and AP Spanish to students in grades 9-11.
  • Collaborate with a diverse and committed School Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Use interactive, hands-on, and creative learning methods.
  • Utilize technology to support instruction in all areas.
  • Implement differentiation of curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Employ co-teaching and ELL strategies.
  • Engage in restorative practices, anti-racism education, culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogy, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Reflect on and implement feedback to improve instructional effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Skilled in current teaching methods and educational pedagogy.
  • A graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant content area.
  • Current possessor of a valid New York State Teaching Certification or willing to enroll in a New York State Teaching Certification Program and obtain such Certification within two years.

Pay

Salary range for certified teachers: $68,500 - $124,061
Salary range for uncertified teachers: $65,500 - $121,061
